Quique Sánchez Flores said that the team keeps growing

Espanyol continues without celebrating a victory this season. However the white and blue manager, Quique Sánchez Flores, was satisfied with the team performance that has played better than Athletic Club during many minutes. Only the lack of success in the last metres has left Espanyol without the three points.

"We wanted to win, but we are growing as a team. We face a very tough opponent such as Athletic that has a base working very clear, coherent ... We were protagonists, we connected with people and fans were happy. The team grows on the basis of being safe defensively and today we generated centers and arrivals. We are happy about the behaviour and because it is a committed team", he said.

Quique Sanchez Flores, who insists a lot on the transformation of the team, said that "we did part of the journey. The team works on defensive security and shows strength and a tough structure and moves well. The players have the will to do so, there is a collective commitment and we will grow a lot because we have a good offensive team and individuals. Today we played better than other days, we played better and better occupy spaces".
