“We have found the balance we need it”
Piatti insists that team can still improve and points out the connection with the fans
Pablo Piatti was one of the protagonists of the victory against Sevilla. The Argentine striker provoked the penalty that ended up signifying the expulsion of Nico Pareja and the goal of José Antonio Reyes. Piatti points out that the blue and white team is enjoying and praising the role of the supporters although he remembers that the team has room for improvement.
"I think we found the balance we needed. We are feeling comfortable, we are enjoying the games and our people are also having fun. I think we are finding the best version and even better will come", said Piatti in an interview with Espanyol TV. The striker, however, said that Espanyol has "room for improvement and growth. We are on the right track and this is the path we must follow. We have to think about Malaga, go for the three points and continue with this growth".
On the action of the penalty, the blue and white has explained that it was "a long pass. I tried to accommodate the ball in my left leg and once I saw I had no angle I try to hit him with the right and, at that moment, I notice a blow on the side. For me, it was a clear foul, thus penalty".
The Argentine also emphasized the connection of the team with the fans that supprted them during the 90 minutes without stopping. "I think this hobby deserves such afternoons and enjoy the team. We feel clothed and the connection is very important", he said.
