“The challenge is to keep getting points”
Luis Miguel Ramis is aiming for three consecutive wins when SD Huesca visit the Stage Front Stadium
RCD Espanyol have the opportunity to achieve a third consecutive win this Saturday against SD Huesca, which head coach Luis Miguel Ramis has in his sights set on.
The Mágico return to the Stage Front Stadium after the victories against CD Mirandés and SD Eibar, the latter of which was achieved in a dramatic stoppage time period in Ipurúa. Now though, attention is on the visit of Huesca and the pursuit of another three vital points.
Ramis said, “The next challenge is to keep getting points. We must work to get closer to what we want, that is vital between now and the end of the season. We will give everything we have and make our fans proud of us. It is important to get the three points again and tomorrow we have the chance to earn a third consecutive victory”.
Espanyol are up to second in LALIGA Hypermotion and sit three points off the top, as they look to capitalise on this momentum and keep pushing up the table. Huesca sit two points off the relegation zone but have the second best away record in the league, posing a tough test to Ramis’ men at the Temple.
The Catalan coach continued, “We must not forget that there is an opponent ahead of us and we must respond to this, as should the fans. We will try and convince the fans with our hard work and results, because we are stronger together. The players must know that they have to push the limits both home and away.
“We are going to have to fight a lot and perform very well, because [Huesca] have conceded the fewest goals away from home. Our week of work has been very good and we are confident of having a good performance against a team that also needs the points”.
