“The balance of the preseason has been fantastic”
Leo Baptistao, who has score four goals, said that he feels very well in his new team
One of the players that has highlight more this summer has been Leo Baptistao.The striker, one of Espanyol’s new signing, has scored four goals in the friendly games played during this summer. The Brazilian said that the team has done a great work.
“I feel very well and I am also happy of the work the team has done. The balance of this preseason has been fantastic. Since I arrived my teammates and everybody in the club have treated me very well as I was here for years”, he said.
About his performance, the striker said that he didn’t expect to start so well. “I arrived with confidence, calm and very excited. Maybe I didn’t expect to start so well, but I did hope to begin with my right foot. I think we have improved in every match “, he said.
He also said that “if I get to play matches, I am fit physically and I don’t have any injury I will be able to help the team”.
About Sevilla, he said that “they have faced very intense matches: they played extra time against Madrid, the other day against Barcelona. Maybe we can take advantage but they have a great squad and plenty of players”.
