“My goal is to defend well”
Diop said that Espanyol tried “in front a rival that, for me, is the best team defending in the world”
Pape Diop didn’t leave happy RCDE Stadium. His goal, the third in a row and all of them with the head, wasn’t enough for Espanyol to add a good result. The Senegalese midfielder would have preferred that a team mate had scored the goal in exchange for, at least, a point. “Before I didn’t go to top off. I used to be in a defensive zone, but now I am going forward and it is turning well”.

Diop said that in front we had “a rival that takes a lot of advantage of your mistakes and if they are able to get ahead the score board is the team that better defends in the world”.
