“It will be a special match”
Reyes, one of the new signings of the season, will face his former team Sevilla this Saturday
José Antonio Reyes will face this weekend a very special match for him. Three months after it was confirmed that he wouldn’t continue playing for Sevilla, the midfielder returns to the Sánchez Pizjuán but defending the white and blue colours of Espanyol.
“It will be a special night for me. I was there four days ago and I receive a tribute of the club and fans. However, once the match starts you don’t have any friends. I defend RCD Espanyol colours and we will try to win”, he said.
Reyes said that “I am happy with the work done. We have done well this preseason and we have reached a great level. It will be very nice to start winning this Saturday. The most important thing is to play as a team”.
About Sevilla he said that it is a team that has “a lot of players and I am sure that the manager will do a lot of changes in the line up. It is a very strong rival, but we know what we must do. We have seen some matches of Sevilla and we will try to do a good match”.
Finally Reyes said that “we don’t have to go mad. We know the goals and we must think match by match”.
