“I am sure that the joy will come”
Salvi Sánchez is keen to play in front of the adoring fans when RCD Espanyol host Elche on Saturday
RCD Espanyol are back at the Stage Front Stadium to face Elche on Saturday night, and Salvi Sánchez cannot wait for the first of two consecutive home fixtures.
Sánchez said, “All teams have bad streaks and they have to be cut short eventually. I am sure that the joy will come. The best thing about the game the other day was that we scored. This doesn't stop and this weekend we have another game against an opponent that with positive dynamics”.
Espanyol host fellow relegated side Elche in Saturday’s LALIGA Hypermotion clash, in what will be the first home game for new head coach Luis Miguel Ramis. The Mágico picked up a point in his first game in charge, a 1-1 draw away to SD Huesca on Sunday.
He has also argued, “We must be very calm. The goal is matchday 42. We are not where we wanted to be, but I am sure that in the end we will. We know the Club we are in and we know the final destination. The league campaign is very long. We have a boost with our fans, as they showed the other day in Huesca, and this weekend 25,000 people will be cheering us on to get the three points”.
Sánchez concluded, “The victories are going to come, I am convinced. The team is working to make this happen and I am sure that many more joys will come”.
