“I am enjoying myself a lot”
Diego López said that the team has improved and that Espanyol's goal is to improve in the second round of the League
After the injury that didn’t allow him to play the first match of the year against Deportivo de la Coruña, Diego López has been in the first eleven the last two games. The Galician, who has done very well in the first round, said that he is enjoying a lot his experience at Espanyol adding that he hopes the team improves in the second round of the league.
“We have improved since the league began. After a difficult start, we have improved in all aspects. We have finished the first round in a good position and we will try to improve our performance. I am very happy. I arrived in a difficult moment for me but I found a good group and I am enjoying myself”, he said. Diego López has said once more that he would like to play next year for Espanyol. “This kind of news are good and mean that you are doing well. But I am calm and focus on Espanyol until the 30th of June. From there the two clubs will have to give a step forward but I have repeated what I want. At times, we are a bit selfish but I am honest and I thank the club because they had confidence on me in a difficult moment”.
About Sevilla he said that “it is a great team, specially attacking wise. We are looking forward to the game and it is a challenge to win one of the best teams in the league". The defensive strength will be one of the main characteristics of Espanyol against an opponent who proposes a very offensive game. "We are still the same. It was difficult to follow that line of being so many games without receiving. It happens once in history. We have to take that security back, we have to achieve it."
