“I am a more complete player as I used to"
David López said that he wanted to be part of the new project
David López is the eigth signing of Espanyol this season. The midfielder comes back to RCD Espanyol after two seasons playing for Naples. In his presentation he said that he wanted to be part of the club’s new project. “There have been two very intense years. I have had the opportunity to work with two very good coaches who from I have learnt a lot and also good players. I got plenty of experience in Italy and Europe and I think I am more complete as a player”, he said. David López said that “it was a project that called my attention and I wanted to be part of it and I hope that we can dream all of us together".
David López also explained the situation he lived last week when he was close to sign for Betis. “Everybody knew that I wanted to sign for Espanyol, but the football’s player career sometimes is difficult and you live different situations”.
About his new teammates he said that “I have met players with a high level. There will be a lot of competitively and experience and I think that this will increase the level. It is good for the manage to have where to choose. I think that all of us are at the same level and when the players improve is very good for the team”. The midfielder said that “I want to play all the matches I can and help in everything”.
The football director Ángel Gómez said that the “incorporation of David López make us very happy. We have been days trying to complete the transfer and we knew that he had to come back home. He can help us a lot”.
