“Espanyol has given me everything”
Marc Roca insists in that “I wanted to continue here, at home, with my people. This was my priority”
Marc Roca confirmed this morning that his will was to continue at Espanyol, that he has given a step forward in his professional career “with a lot of effort and work” and continues to take everything with naturalness and a huge desire "to continue learning."
The player, who has signed his renovation with Espanyol until 2022 in an act where he has been accompanied by Ramón Robert, CEO, Ángel Gómez, football director and his parents, said that he feels “happy for signing this contract. For me it was a priority. I want to give all so that everything turns out well”.
The player said that “I wanted to continue here, at home, with my people. Espanyol has given me everything. I am ‘perico’, as my family, and I want to be here many years, he said as he pointed out that “thanks to my teammates and the staff I have arrived here”.
The Catalan midfielder, who will have second team license, will have a clause of 40 million euros, as Ramon Robert said, who added “we have to be happy for all pericos, because one of the players with best future stays here. And we have to thank, also, the effort he has done to stay with us”.
Finally, Ángel Gómez said that he was surprised for the “speed” shown by Marc Roca to adapt to the Fist Division, but he has insisted that “we knew that he was a player that could arrive to the first team. It was only matter of time”.
