Álvaro thinks the next two games will be against “two top teams”
Álvaro González said this week will be “very important” in the team’s preparation. The squad will travel on Wednesday to England to play against Southampton during the evening and to face Everton on Saturday afternoon. “We will play against two top teams who are going to demand us a lot because of his quality. It will be complicated to beat them. In these two games we could see our level and the main tools we need to improve during the last period of preseason”, explained the central back.
The defender insisted about “we are trying to reach the best level. We feel the excitement around the squad but we must create a great team building and show it on the field”.
Finally, about the rumors that put Pau López away from RCD Espanyol, Álvaro said “he is an important player for us and I hope he stays with us”.
