Granero said that "we think we can beat anyone, including R. Madrid"
Esteban Granero is a good example of the confidence that has been installed in the blue and white team and the desire to keep on improving. The midfielder, always reflective and pedagogical in his explanations, assumes that "the team has yet to improve" and that they are at a time when "we can not slow down".
He said that in the team there is the conviction "that we can win anyone, including R. Madrid. We have the ability to play well, compete and win big teams. How to do it? It is somewhat complex and many positive factors have to be given".
He claims that, despite the changes of this last summer, "R. Madrid is a recognizable team, which can be overwhelmed by their offensive game. It has, individually, gifted players. It is a strong block, particularly in their own ground. We are a team that we are growing and as a block we are becoming stronger. It will be a clash of two good teams that will fight to win. It will not be easy for either of us".
Granero also said that "in the regularity is where success will be. We lost in Vitoria, however we did not doubt about our strength. That shows confidence and security. The coaching staff invites us to maintain that security. After winning we can not slow down. We know that we are not doing everything right, nor we think that everything is done. We have a high level of confidence and that is good for us".
He finally said "it is neither a good time nor bad" to face the white squad. "Madrid is a team capable of playing every three days at the highest level".
