"We have to finish as best as we possible can"
Diego Lopez is convinced that "the team has improved" and that wants to improve to fight for important aims
Diego López maintains, as his teammates, the intention of the team of closing these last three League matches to the best possible level. In his balance of the season he said that "we are happy", but he does not forget that "the last defeat is a hard blow, although we have to value beyond a match. We must consider the season as a whole. We have improved our performance during the championship. We have stayed many weeks between the eighth and ninth and it was a long time since this score was reached. We have 9 points left, we will fight to add them all and the team will continue to grow to leave a good taste to our supporters. We have to end this season as best as we can to start the next season with renewed goals and a positive thinking".
He insists on the idea that the team "has improved a lot" and argues that it is consolidating a "style of play, with identity and we are convinced of what we do, after some complicated seasons. In the eyes of all of us is that the team has improved a lot, has its own identity and we know what we are doing. That is a point in favour of the coaches as well as the players. We have worked very hard, after a difficult start and come from previous troubled seasons".
He assures that the intention of the locker room is to add all the possible points in the three remaining matches. "Every game is three points and you defend a shield and a club. Beyond goals you play the individual or collective value".
Diego Lopez is also optimistic about the future of the club and comments that "the line is there. There is an important basis. We have competed with almost all rivals. This year we may have deserved more in some games and in others, something less, but in terms of competitiveness, this group has a need, hunger for important things. We have expectations of growth, with people with enthusiasm and thrill. And that is the most important of all. The team is a strong group and we have to continue, step by step, in a growing line".
