Quique Sánchez Flores has assured that things will change if the team maintains this line
The coach of RCD Espanyol, Quique Sánchez Flores, has made a very positive assessment of the draw achieved in the derby. "The rain has influenced a lot, especially in the second half when he took four or five counter attacks, while FC Barcelona prevented them from developing their game. It has been a game similar to what we imagined: a mixture of the previous ones and doing things as well as possible. It was a good match, it competed well and if we continue like this, things will change", he said. Sanchez Flores he said that "we seek to be a solid team that makes few mistakes and is focused. They are small details that in many matches are intangible, but when it comes to scoring points they are important".
Sánchez Flores has said that it was one of the "most exciting matches. We have made better matches, but this draw is good for the size of the opponent and for everything that needs to be done so that the talent of the rival does not emerge”.
The coach has said that Espanyol is penalizing "the lack of goal and that belongs to us all. There are many intangibles in the games and, sometimes, the results mean that we can not count things that add or subtract. The team works, knows what they want but there are things that do not depend on us".
Sánchez Flores recalled that "all the matches will continue to be complicated. The season continues and we expect to improve as a team and stabilize it. We are optimistic and positive, because we have a good group of players and we are aware that we can do better".
