"We are going to Mestalla with ambition"
Melendo insists that "we are going to compete in all the matches"
Óscar Melendo said that he is living a year of apprenticeship in the highest category. It gives the impression that he continues to grow professionally and that he tries to make the most of every opportunity he has. However, he is modest and humble in his words, but ambitious in this final stretch of the championship.
Contribution to the team: "The other day, against Alavés, I tried to help and contribute as much as possible. Piatti and I came out in the second half with the intention of getting the last pass, but the victory could not be achieved. We were frustrated by that but now we are going to go to Mestalla with the maximum ambition and to look for the three points”.
A rival of the high zone: "We know that it is a very difficult field. They are trying to enter Europe. We go with the intention of making our game and to win the match".
Performance: "When I go out I try to do my best. The same as when I'm in the starting eleven. What is clear is that we all like to be in the starting team”.
Position in the field: "Throughout the season I have been acting in several places. I feel very comfortable inside or mid field. When I enter the team, I try to do my best and give freshness to the group. Hopefully we can get a victory this Sunday".
Final straight: "We are going to compete all the matches, we have won the big ones and why not also be able to do it to Valencia".
Learning: "I knew this was my first year of learning. So far I have enjoyed quite a few minutes and I always try to do my best. "
The good moment of the second team: "He has had a great season and they will play for the promotion. I would love, personally, because they are friends of mine, that any player could get on the first team”.
