"The team believed until the end"
Quique applauds the effort of his players against Levante
Quique Sánchez Flores has been satisfied with the draw against Levante. The coach has insisted that "it is a result that does justice just as the match was did. We have insisted on the same type of football and play, maintaining control and preventing Levante from dominating. We leave with good feelings. The team believed until the end".
The blue and white coach has said that "we have created all the opportunities we could. I'm left with the feeling that if we had started winning, we would have grown in the result against an opponent that has much more than it seems. And that's because we were fine. We were able to win it and in the end we tied it".
Quique also pointed out that "today's draw tells me that if we score in the end it is because the team stays standing until the end. Today we were fine, but we had to wait until the end".
The manager has also had a special memory for Davide Astori who died this morning at the hotel of concentration. "It's very sad news. I am very sorry. It is a tremendous loss”, he said and explained that the absence of Carlos Sanchez in the starting line-up had nothing to do with this issue but responded “to had muscle discomfort and was the player who had worse feelings".
