Víctor Sánchez said that the team must recover the defensive strength and adds that it is important to start winning matches
Víctor Sánchez, one of the captains of the first team, has made a balance in the press room of the draw achieved in Balaídos. The Catalan player has given the point as "good" although he has said that the team must start winning matches to get away from the dangerous zone and get closer to the comfortable part of the classification. "It's a good point there, but it's true that we wanted to have done things better and we wanted the image to be different. But the point is a very big prize for how the match was played. Other days we deserved much more. Espanyol is not the team that saw yesterday, is another that defends better, that has more ball. But Celta demands a lot from you, it puts you in their area. The team must be happy with that point, but knowing that the game that comes this weekend is not an end but very important”, he said.
The footballer does not consider that the team backed down with the first goal - "we did not get well in the game, but we managed to score", he has said-, and has indicated that "it cost us a lot to leave because we were not able to link four or five passes in a row".
The midfielder has commented that Espanyol lacks "making complete good games" and added that one of the premises is to recover the identity of last season: "Our idea is to return to be the serious and focused team that was the year past, leave as much as possible the goal to zero, and there the results will come safely.
