Pau López comments that he has returned to help the team to make a great season
Pau López has been one of the players with more protagonism in this beginning of season. After one season playing for Tottenham, the goalkeeper said that he has come back to help the team. "It's our job. Each player must make things difficult for the manager to choose the right player. I am at his disposal when he needs me. I came back to help the team to make a great season", he said.
"I came without having holidays to be with the team as soon as possible and adapt again here. I do not know if I imagined this start, but I'm happy with my performance and wanting to keep improving. That is our role, that the team improves and makes a better season than last year".
Pau believes that changes in the club have also had a direct influence on the team improvement. "That team was not the one right now. The club has made a big investment and has changed. The whole team helps, everyone defends. When you believe in themanager's ideas, in what he is doing, results will eventually arrive ", he said.
On his experience at Tottenham has commented that being out a year was positive. "Being a year out has been good for me. People can’t understand my situation but it was a very good year for me: I worked a lot with Toni. I did not compete as much as I would have liked but it served me a lot. I was excited to go away, to try the experience", he said.
