Rubén Sanchez talks about preseason preparations
The fullback has been a standout this summer
Rubén Sánchez has broken out this preseason as the team's leading goalscorer, striking twice in the three friendlies played in Marbella.
Speaking this week, the youngster said that “when I was younger I played as a winger. It has been here where they have converted me into a fullback, but I have always had the opportunity to score goals."
He also talked about work that the team are doing and “the path that the coach has set out for us. The group is united, together and strong. Step-by-step we are assimilating what the coach tells us and we are showing it on the pitch."
Sánchez describes training as “high intensity with and without the ball, which is what coach requires of us in each session. We know that every game will be different and we are preparing for that."
Finally, he commented on Saturday's contest against FC Utrecht.
"It's the last test before the opening league game. We have ten days left to start the season."
