RCDE Academy Rabat visits club facilities
The network of academies presents opportunties for young talents worldwide
The ever-expanding RCD Espanyol academies network continues to enjoy success worldwide, and last September a new RCDE Academy was inaugurated in Rabat, extending its presence in Morocco. The country is a key market for the club, where they have been a pioneer since 2016 with their training programmes.
Currently, the RCDE Academy in Rabat has 190 players and a technical director trained in the RCDE methodology, Xavier Codina. RCD Espanyol are extremely proud of this project that started a few months ago, which represents a strong sporting and commercial opportunity for the club.
One of the most exciting moments that the members of this academy have experienced to date came a few weeks ago, with their first visit to the RCD Espanyol facilities in Spain. They were able to meet footballers like Omar, Nabil and Abde, and had the opportunity to ask Omar Sadik, a Juvenil A player, questions. In addition, they played against teams from the Escuela RCDE and met the Alevín A footballers, before receiving a tour of the RCDE Stadium and watching the match against Celta Vigo.
The RCDE Academies are a network of schools that share the RCDE training methods internationally. Espanyol have a developmental model based on professionalism and the success of our work with professional youth football.
