Quique: "Whoever got ahead, would win"
Quique Sánchez Flores regretted tonight's defeat at Getafe and said that he was not particularly surprised by the level shown by the local team. The coach said that "Getafe is a team that gets all their games are grey and infect the rival. We knew that either we had a great game or it would cost us because whoever got ahead would win".
The coach has said that "we never had the opportunity to advance, to dominate. It was a match that could end 0-0. We have conceded many fouls and we had the feeling that this created danger for us. Then, with the expulsion of Flamini, we have pulled the manual to widen the field and we have looked for all the attack options, but we have not been able to maintain that".
Quique has also said that "I do not see things in such a catastrophic way. I've always had the idea of players very involved and working and, in the end, we lost by the minimum".
The blue and white coach has also revealed that "we need a victory to consolidate a goal that was not for which we fought, although I sensed, since the summer, that the season could be complicated".
