Puado: "We have to have a perfect game"

The forward looks ahead to the fixture against Real Madrid

Two days out from RCD Espanyol's LaLiga Matchday 3 game against Real Madrid, striker Javi Puado gave a press conference in which he revealed the squad's approach to the contest.

"We have to have a perfect game. We have to have our best day and the first step is believing that we can win," he told the media on Friday.

RCD Espanyol bested the current LaLiga champions last season, and Puado believes that there is no reason that they can't repeat the feat.

"We have to believe that we can do it again," he commented. "Now is the time to pick up three points in consecutive games, and we saw in the first two games this season that there were moments in which we could win. We have to keep growing and I think that we are a team capable of doing it."

Puado also had words of praise for Sergi Darder, who this week extended his contract at RCD Espanyol.

"I'm very happy that he is staying with us. It was very important for the team and for the club that he continue here. It was a very good decision."
