RCD Espanyol repeats the 'Los Pericos no abandonan' campaign
'Los Pericos no abandonan' was, without a doubt, one of the most spectacular initiatives carried out by a LALIGA club during the season so far, and attracted widespread attention around Spain. This type of campaign raises people's awareness and helps to humanise society.
The RCDE Stadium was once again the scene of one of the most impactful actions of the year. The starting XI for RCD Espanyol went out on the pitch accompanied by escort dogs in search of a home and, subsequently, images of them all were put together for a graphic and audiovisual media. The purpose was to raise awareness of the need to adopt abandoned dogs and give them a new home where they can be happy. Both the players and the coaching staff of the RCD Espanyol first team have spread the word about this campaign and supported all the actions promoted during the week.
This campaign would not have been possible without the involvement of the Penya Perica Happy Animals, Voluntaris RCDE, the RCDE Foundation, ADACC CORNELLÀ, Els rescatats de Fraguel i ASASF Barcelona, as well as the employees of the different departments at the club, who helped make the action a success. In addition, the companies Affinity, Libra and Elanco will donate material for all the animals (dogs and cats) at the shelters RCD Espanyol collaborate with this year.
From October 5th to 13th, material can be delivered to the RCDE Stores at the RCDE Stadium (closed on October 12th) and the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque.
Everyone who donates will be entered into a prize draw, which will have two winners. The prize package consists of a shirt signed by your favourite player, a VIP experience for two, two corporate tickets and two invitations to take the RCDE Stadium tour. At the time of their donation, entrants will be offered the chance to scan a QR and fill out a form to enter the draw.
