"Our mentality is to look forward"
Rubi points out that the team has taken advantage of the inertia to win a complicated match
Espanyol have won the first victory of the season away from home in a special match for the blue and white coach, Joan Francesc Ferrer, Rubi, who was returning to Huesca. "It's been a bit strange," said Rubi, who has praised the team's attitude.
Rubi has pointed out that it has been a tough match " We know it is not easy. No team had scored two goals here. It has been difficult for us to get in the game, Huesca has proposed a match without either team being superior, but we have gone from less to more. Sometimes you have to win in this way and more taking advantage of our inertia".
The coach has made it clear that "in the dressing room there is no euphoria there is work and we will not let up. I'm sure the players play with their feet on the ground because they have seen that we have needed five games to win one out". Rubi has said that "it is not the match that I liked the most. Huesca has come out very plugged, with intensity, covering spaces at the beginning and has joined our mistake. Winning is not easy". The coach, from modesty, has insisted that "we are going to defend the second position and attack what is before us. We know that now everything is going very well and our mentality is to look forward".
On Borja Iglesias, who scored two goals, said that "more than anxiety for the goals, it is the desire to show that he is a good First Division player; he suffers for that. He has four goals in nine games and at the pace he can blow everything he had planned. Let's see if you win over those who have doubts about him".
