Óscar Gil and Puado Called Up to Compete in Olympic Games
The players will represent RCD Espanyol in the Olympic event in Tokyo
RCD Espanyol Óscar Gil and Javi Puado have been called up by Spanish manager, Luis de la Fuente, to compete in the Tokyo Olympic Games. The football tournament will run from 22 July to 7 August.
Spain will face Australia, Egypt, and Argentina.
The players will get together on 30 June from 8 pm in Madrid and will train the next day in the Cuidad del Fútbol de las Rozas before travelling to the town of Benidorm, Alicante, where the preparation stage will take place in the lead up to the Olympic Games.
On 13 July, the expedition will travel to the Japanese city of Kobe, which will host the friendly match against their Japanese counterparts on Saturday 17 July. The following day, the squad will travel to Sapporo which will be their base for their first two Olympic matches.
