Miranda: "The derby will show us where we can finish this season"

RCD Espanyol Femenino meet league leaders FC Barcelona Femení on Sunday

Following a week off, RCD Espanyol Femenino return to action with a derby against FC Barcelona Femení away from home on Sunday, in in a midday kickoff at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

In need of victories in their final games of the season to increase their chances of promotion, Los Pericos will take on a side who are enjoying a strong season.

“The break was necessary for the team and I think it has been positive for us. This is a challenge that we face with enthusiasm and with the will to try to beat the league leaders away from home," said the coach of the team, Carol Miranda, ahead of the fixture.

"The last game before the break was a blow for us. We went to Lleida with a lot of desire and we didn't get the victory there. This Sunday we have a new challenge that will show us where we want to be and where we can finish this season,” she concluded by saying.
