Melamed: "We have a new opportunity on Thursday"
The midfielder previews a big midweek game against Villarreal CF
The RCD Espanyol squad are preparing for an intense week that features two vital LaLiga games, as they face Villarreal CF and Getafe CF in the space of four days.
Attacker Nico Melamed spoke on Monday about what he feels is a chance for the team to put themselves into a better position in the table.
“This Thursday we have a new opportunity. We're going to Villarreal with the aim of taking the three points, but to do that we have to be ourselves in every duel on the pitch, in every game. We have give it our all on Thursday," Melamed stated.
"We need to stick together to overcome our rivals at the bottom. The table is very tight and we are going to give all that we have."
RCD Espanyol's most recent game was a 0-0 draw with Cadiz this past Friday, and Melamed believes that they can take positives away from that contest.
“We were the better side, and to achieve what we want, we should continue in the same way. We feel how important it is when we aren't able to win. It was a spectacular turnout for that game, and we felt the support of the people fans before kickoff. The only thing we can tell them is to keep that up, because it was absolutely crazy."
"Every game between now and the end of the season is going to be like a final, and we have another one coming up on Thursday."
