"Maximum difficulty"
Rubi said that Athletic is a "very intense team", but ensures that he sees his players motivated and "with confidence"
After the good results achieved in recent weeks, Rubi does not want the team to slow down in the games that remain in this final third of the championship. The first test will be this Friday at San Mamés, against a team that is "a maximum difficulty" because it is a rival "very intense in duels and disputes. They are in a very good moment of the season because of the latest results they have achieved. But both teams have the same points and each team has to overcome their difficulties".
The manager regrets the amount of casualties he has for the game against Athletic, but said that "that should not be an excuse", although he does not forget that "that it is an extra difficulty" and reveals that "I see my players pretty confident to afford this game. You have to fight to the most".
He expects, however, that the players offer a good performance and points out that "I hope we see the capacity of the work of the day of Valencia, with a little more offensive possibilities. My initial idea is to win. No one can have doubts about that".
Regrets, on the other hand, that "this year we have only added once two consecutive victories. It is so great the motivation that we have to chain another victory that I hope we are a difficult team to win. We arrive with confidence and we can not deliver our five-game streak without losing easily. I would be very disappointed if it happens so".
Finally, the coach has also had words of encouragement for the family of former member of the board of direction Jordi Puyaltó, recently deceased.
