Manolo González appointed as RCD Espanyol B coach
The Galician joins on a two-year deal
The RCD Espanyol Sports Management department have reached an agreement for Manolo González to take charge of Espanyol B for the next two seasons.
González, who has been coaching for more than two decades after a serious injury forced him to retire from his playing career, has extensive experience at Montañesa, Badalona, CD Ebro and Sociedad Cultural y Recreativa Peña Deportiva. His objective is to get the most out of the second team with an eye on bringing players through to the first team, directly reporting to the Sports Management.
Recognised for his career in both the Segunda B and Tercera División, in the last two seasons he has managed to qualify for the promotion playoffs with SCRP Peña Deportiva. González' sides have also had good performances in the Copa del Rey
RCD Espanyol B plan to start their preseason on July 12th.
