He has experience in First Division after training Girona and Sevilla.
Pablo Machín (Soria, 7-4-1975) has reached an agreement to be the coach of the first team of the RCD Espanyol de Barcelona for the next two seasons. Machín arrives to the club blanquiazul after having managed in the last seasons Sevilla FC, Girona FC and CD Numancia.
Machín, who left professional football due to a knee injury, began his coaching career in the youth categories of the CD Numancia. In the 2011-2012 season he took command of the Soria team where he spent two seasons. In March 2014 he signed for Girona FC and managed to save the team that was in a complicated situation. With the Girona team ends up achieving the promotion to First Division and, in its first year in the top category, was one of the outsider teams. His good work in Girona led him to sign for Sevilla.
Pablo Machín will be presented as new coach of the first team of the RCD Espanyol de Barcelona this Tuesday at 10.30h in the auditorium Juan Segura Palomares in an exclusive act for the media accredited by the club.
Good luck, Pablo! #MachínPerico
