Luis Blanco: "We have to take advantage of our momentum"
In-form RCD Espanyol B play Mallorca B on Sunday afternoon
RCD Espanyol B are on a positive streak of results that they will try to extend this Sunday against Mallorca B, in a home game that kicks off at 12pm CET. Whilst their opponents have not been enjoying good form as of late, coach Luis Blanco believes that the weekend contest will be a challenge for his side.
“We want to try to continue with the positive results that the team have been achieving in recent matchdays. We are at home against a good team who have a clear commitment, which is to try to compete and win the game," he told Espanyol Media this week.
"We have to take advantage of our momentum of positive results and establish ourselves in the top positions in the table."
The coach also remarked that Mallorca have “dynamic players and a very high level of talent for the division -even though they are not doing so well in the table. Their individual profiles are very interesting, they are a good team and the feeling is that they could have more points on the board than they have. They have experienced competitive situations in which they have not performed at their best and that has punished them."
"This is a match between two B teams, in which there is usually a high pace. It will be a game of the utmost difficulty. I hope that this weekend, in which both we and the first team play against RCD Mallorca sides, will be very positive. We are going into our game with the maximum energy and with the intention of making the fans happy," he concluded.
