Luis Blanco: "They are a difficult opponent"

RCD Espanyol B play CD Ibiza Islas Pitiusas away on Sunday at midday, having managed to put an end to their poor run of results last time out against Hércules. This weekend's opponents are rivals in the lower reaches of the table, who have improved notably since they made a change of coach.

Coach Luis Blanco spoke ahead of the match, explaining, “I think that in previous matches we had competed well, but we had suffered emotional situations that were preventing us from getting more points. The team once again demonstrated a very high level last weekend and they competed very well; I came away from the game happy".

Of Ibiza Islas Pitiusas, he added, "They are difficult opponents with very good players. They haven't been achieving good results, but it is very difficult to compete against them because they are a very good team. They are in the relegation places, but with the intention of getting out of them, having got some positive results, changing their coach, changing their way of playing and becoming much more competitive".

Blanco commented, “It is a difficult away trip, but it is a good ground for playing football. We have to keep going in the same way as we have been, and try to get the three points".
