Lazo: "It's going to be a very long and hard year"
The winger talks during preseason
José Carlos Lazo is enjoying his first full preseason with RCD Espanyol after joining the club last summer in August. The Andalusian player acknowledges that starting out a project with the group is an advantage for him, and notes that the preseason so far has been solid for the squad.
“It's been a tough preseason to date, but it's what we all need. We are at a good level, the training sessions have been very good -which the coach has told us- and this Sunday we will see how we are doing, because we will have the first opportunity to compete," declared Lazo.
“It's not the same for me this year. It is not the same when you arrive when the team's work is already underway; it's different. Last season I had few minutes and now I can start from scratch, which is important,” he acknowledged.
The winger also commented that “we have to focus on the fact that we are in the Segunda División and that we start out with the aim of being promoted. It is a very difficult division, with 42 matchdays, and you have to be 100% motivated. It's going to be a very long and hard year."
