LaLiga Genuine stage held at Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque
The latest round of the competition took place this weekend
The Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque welcomed 22 LaLiga Genuine teams this past weekend, for two days of football and fun for the various participating DI players.
The event got underway on Friday with an inauguration ceremony, where the captains of the clubs, accompanied by dozens of fans, friends and family members, were welcomed by Rafa Marañón, Director of RCD Espanyol, Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga and Filo Cañete, mayoress of Sant Adrià del Besós.
On Saturday and Sunday, more than 30 matches were played, bringing together over 500 players and coaching staff members.
RCDE Special are one of the founding members of the LaLiga Genuine competition, and Los Pericos achieved victory in their three games: 3-0 against Valencia, 0-4 against Almería and a 1-3 win over Fundación Club Atlético de Madrid.
The weekend concluded with a medal ceremony attended by Clemente Villaverde, president of the LaLiga Foundation; Olga de la Fuente, director of the LaLiga Foundation; Alberto Ariza; director of the Social Area at RCD Espanyol, as well as different representatives of brands and entities collaborating with the competition.
The RCDE Volunteers provided support and assitance throughout the weekend to ensure the smooth running of the event.
