Joselu goes on loan to Real Madrid
An option to buy for Real Madrid has been included in the deal
RCD Espanyol and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the loan of striker Joselu Mato.
The 33-year-old joins Los Blancos on loan for next season, with Real Madrid holding an option to buy at the end of the deal. Joselu scored 16 LaLiga goals in a successful season in the blanquiazul shirt, winning the Zarra trophy for the league’s top Spanish scorer and earning his debut for the Spanish national team.
The agreement between the three parties is a testament to the respect and cooperation of the two clubs, already evident a few months ago when Real Madrid allowed our current men’s first team coach Luis García to depart and take charge here.
RCD Espanyol wants to thank Joselu for his hard work throughout this season and wishes him good luck for the upcoming campaign.
