Javi López reaches 200 matches in LaLiga
The captain joins the club's history
Javi López joins to the Hall of Fame in the history of RCD Espanyol. With yesterday's game against CD Leganés, he becomes the nineteenth player to reach the 200 matches played with the club in LaLiga.
He made his debut in Primera División on 2009 at El Madrigal, in a Villarreal-Espanyol of the sixth fixture of the championship that ended in a draw to zero. He leapt into the field in the 82nd minute replacing Callejón, Mauricio Pochettino gave him the alternative.
The following season, he climbed to the first team, where he consolidated thanks to the virtues that have always accompanied to him: work, solidarity, sacrifice and dedication. Osuna's defender scored his first goal at La Romareda, against Zaragoza on 2011. His other goal was at Cornellà-El Prat in a draw against Athletic Club Bilbao on September 2012.
With yesterday's game, parakeet captain accumulates 15.654 minutes defending the white and blue shirt in LaLiga. A whole life fighting for these colours. A referent for all the youth player. Congratulations, Javi!
