Luis Miguel Ramis reflects on a game of two halves as RCD Espanyol draw 0-0 with Racing Club Ferrol

Luis Miguel Ramis reflected on a mixed 0-0 draw away to Racing Club Ferrol on Saturday.

Ramis said, “In the first half we created chances to go into the break ahead, and we did not let a team that has many options play their game. In the second half, however, we did not maintain the level we had in the first half. We played a game with a lot of work and respect and we could have won”.

RCD Espanyol were held to a goalless affair at the Estadio Municipal A Malata, in a game where they could have gone second and into the automatic promotion places. They instead travel back to Barcelona sat in fourth, though just four points shy of the summit of LALIGA Hypermotion.

Ramis continued, “This is one of those Second Division games that you end up winning by a single goal, but we were flat. We did not maje a mistake and we had to give more continuity to what we saw in the first half. The most important thing is to show that we are a difficult team to beat and maintain the continuity that we have been lacking”.

The head coach concluded, “This is how you grow in the Second Division. I know that we will end up winning many other games like this. We have to win and we are going to do it. We have too many draws, but the squad feels strong and confident. Today's game was not easy As soon as we get a victory, all of these draws will hold a lot of value”.
