International experiences for U17 and U16 teams
U17 achieve victory in the K-League Youth Cup
The La21 teams will have multiple international experiences this season, and first came for the U17 and U16 sides in recent days.
Marc Txalabarder's U17 team traveled to South Korea to participate in the K-League Youth Cup. Elite teams from both Europe and Asia took part in this tournament, but it was RCD Espanyol who emerged victorious.
They began with a 2-1 defeat against Everton, but after that match they were unstoppable, going on to win the final against Busan FC 3-0.
For the U16 team, this season they are participating in the Al Abtal Cup, an international tournament organised by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation and its Future Falcons program, and played throughout the year.
Their first game was in Salou, against Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb -for whom one-time RCD Espanyol academy player and European Champion Dani Olmo once played.
Dani Pérez's team won 2-0. Their next match will be on November 6th against Standard Liège.
