Under-16s progress in Al Abtal International Cup

The team win 1-0 against Internazionale at home

The RCD Espanyol Under-16s team made it through to the next round of the Al Abtal International Cup with a 1-0 win over Internazionale. The team go into the knockout stages with a game to spare and without having lost a single match.

To find out who their next opponents will be, they will have to wait until the end of the first phase, scheduled for April.

The Al Abtal Cup is a tournament in which the best youth teams compete with other European sides. In addition to the competition itself, it serves as a way for the young talents to get their first international experience and see what a trip to compete in a competition entails. This is the first time that Espanyol have participated in this tournament.
