Impose the style
Granero said that "Girona is a team with criteria and personality", but the key will be "finding our own assets"
Espanyol has returned to training, after a weekend of rest, to prepare the game against Girona next Sunday. The Blue and Whites want to maintain the enormous strength that they are demonstrating in the RCDE Stadium, while the visitors still do not know the defeat away. It will be, therefore, a very competitive match and that will hardly resemble the two that occurred the previous season. "That is already part of the past", said Granero. "A lot has changed in both teams. We will focus the game with our usual mentality, with positivism. It will be a special game and we take it with the responsibility of knowing that it is important for the fans".
He insists that "all teams end up giving better performance in their field than away and, in time, those things happen. So far they have shown that they are a team with criteria, personality and good players. We expect a very tough match. The key will be to stay within our style, respect our philosophy and try to impose our way".
“My perception is that people are eager to do good things and they have illusion. And with those two things you can overcome everything. I see the whole team, including young people, prepared to face challenges. I have no doubt that we are ready".
Finally, the emergence of Mario Hermoso and his recently released internationality points out that "he makes us feel proud, especially for him, because he deserves it for the determination and work he has been doing since he arrived. He has not stopped learning. We hope it comes with more energy because it has other challenges ahead that will make him grow. The club feels very good about the fact that there are players that go to the National Team. We have players with a lot of potential".
