"I'm happy to be back"
Perarnau assumes that he is facing "a major challenge" and expects that the club "grows non-stop"
Òscar Perarnau has been presented this afternoon as the new Sports General Director and assured that he takes on this new position "with total enthusiasm in his come back home", knowing that he has ahead "a major challenge" and "a very serious project".
The new chief executive has explained that in recent weeks had "talked with other clubs" but things were stopped "after a marathon meeting with the president of Espanyol. I have known the project and I am delighted to come home".
Perarnau, who has repeated several times that he expects the club to "grow gradually," explained that his new role places him in an executive position above the sports director and "coordinating other departments of the entity. I am convinced that we will do a good job".
He said that "Lardín is the maximum responsible for the preparation of the first team and the second team and will continue to collaborate with normality. I do not think we make changes from one day to another, but in a progressive and permanent way".
