"I want the fans to identify with the team"
David Gallego insists that he has worked hard to live this moment.

Accompanied by the vice-president of RCD Espanyol of Barcelona, Carlos García Pont, and by the director of professional football, Francisco Joaquín Pérez Rufete, the new coach of the first team has assured that he faces this challenge "with a tremendous illusion".
"I can lead a project at home; it's half a dream because there's still a way to go. I hope it can be many years. I have a very clear objective: we are going to do our best and we are going to achieve it. The mother of our project is to be united with the fans, because united, we are stronger. The perico DNA is humility, suffering, commitment, solidarity, identity, feeling... We are a family and if we are capable of the team transmitting this feeling, we are going to make people feel identified with us", said David Gallego.
Gallego said that he has dreamt of this moment and that he worked for it "I had to be prepared", said the manager, who has remarked that he likes his teams to be "protagonists with the ball.
