Homage to the heroes of the pandemic

This Friday, March 14th, 2025, marks five years since the declaration of the state of emergency that marked the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On this significant day, RCD Espanyol pay tribute to all those who, with courage and dedication, continued to stand firm, ensuring the safety and health of us all.
During those difficult times, doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, cleaning staff, security forces, essential workers, and many other unsung heroes demonstrated unparalleled dedication and commitment. Thanks to them, we were able to overcome the darkest moments and find hope amidst the uncertainty.
The club have brought together some of the representatives of these groups to pay this small homage: RCDE Volunteers; Dr. Narciso Amigó, Director of the Health Department at RCD Espanyol; Patricia García, nurse at the Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili; Alfredo de la Cruz, a cleaning staff member from the ISS company, and representatives of the following groups: Policía Nacional de Cornellà, Mossos d'Esquadra de Cornellà, Guardia Urbana de Cornellà, Cruz Roja de Cornellà, Bomberos de Cornellà, Policía Local de El Prat y del Área Regional de tráfico, and ARRO de la Región Policial Metropolitana Sur.
With this heartfelt tribute, we not only want to remember the past, but also celebrate the resilience and humanity that unites us. Today, more than ever, we want to express our gratitude to all of them. Thank you for your courage, work, effort, and dedication. Thank you for never giving up.
