Granero’s time at RCD Espanyol de Barcelona comes to an end
The player embarks on a new professional adventure after two and a half seasons at the club
Esteban Granero has this Thursday called time on his RCD Espanyol de Barcelona career. The Madrilenian, one of the first team captains, has reached an agreement with the ‘blanquiazul’ club for the termination of his contract, which was due to finish on the 30th June.
Granero arrived at the club in the summer of 2017 with Quique Sánchez Flores in the dugout. In the past two and a half seasons he has made 82 official appearances in the ‘blanquiazul’ shirt, scoring six goals. Moreover, he has become one of the most important figures in the dressing room and was one of the first team squad’s captains.
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona wishes to thank Esteban Granero publicly for his professionalism, commitment and dedication, qualities that have won him the lasting respect of the fans. The club wishes him the best of success both personally and professionally.
Granero will bid the club farewell publicly in a press conference scheduled this Thursday at 12:30h in the Juan Segura Palomares Auditorium at the RCDE Stadium, with access open to media accredited by the club.
