Manolo González expressed his satisfaction with the comprehensive 0-4 away victory over Rayo Vallecano in his post-match press conference

"The performance of the entire team was very good. They had a sensational game, they earned it, and they believed in it. It was a very complete match," he told journalists.

The coach reiterated that "we were able to attack well and we found the victory. Other times this season we have faded, but today we had the necessary respite. It's something we're gradually improving."

He insisted that "we needed to take a step forward, and we did. The credit for what we're doing belongs to the entire dressing room. We've fought against many things and we've been united. That's commendable. I've already said they'll give their all to keep Espanyol in the Primera División, and I'd give my life for them. We might play better or worse, but the team give their all."
