"Girona, Girona, Girona..."
David Gallego will debut in Montilivi "excited" and trusting a squad "with a superlative predisposition"
David Gallego has assumed the leadership of the first team fully excited by the opportunity to occupy the professional bench this Sunday in Montilivi, something that has made clear from the start. "Tomorrow we have a game that we have to win," he commented and has simplified that he focuses on "Girona, Girona and Girona ... and try to get the most out of it. I know the players and I only think about having all the information I can and how to counteract the opponent. I have a staff with an important capacity and the message that will reach them is clear".
"I'm excited and it's a pride that the club believes in my work. I dedicate myself to training and to the team take a step more, I think we have the capacity to give it", he said.
The new coach said that "the team will compete and fight for the three points. When I see the players, I see that we are going to be happy from here until the end of the season. Four weeks is not the time to work things, but to try to give it another air. I know I have suitable players for that".
He revealed that "I have found the great team, with a superlative predisposition, with desire to take it forward. I see a team that breaks the soul. I have seen them receptive and they transmit me good sensations".
From his part, Óscar Perarnau, sports general director, has revealed that he has seen "a progression" in the work of David Gallego these years "and I am left with his personality and his proposal" and has not ruled out his option as a coach "for the future. We know that it is not easy, but this question has been taken as a challenge. He is the chosen one. We are convinced that he is the right person. We are very excited about the idea that we can help you the most".
Perarnau has also said that Tamudo will occupy a position closer to the work of the first team and the new coaching staff and that in the technical secretariat is going to work, now, temporarily. "Felipe Sánchez will be in charge of the management of the first team and Antonio Uceda, of the second team, but it is planned to incorporate a sports director who will occupy both functions".
