García: "We will pick ourselves up"
The coach assesses the 4-2 defeat to Villarreal CF
RCD Espanyol coach Luis García analysed the defeat suffered against Villarreal in his post-match press conference, saying that “We managed to score two goals and we went into halftime 0-1 up, despite the fact that they had scoring situations in the first half. In the second, they didn't generate enough against us to merit scoring four goals, but the set pieces hurt us."
"Capoue conjured up a great goal but we did not go out to close him down, then we had bad luck with the penalty, the third goal came and the fourth was another set piece. In two days we have another game and we have to get back up again. This team has been created from setbacks, that is our mentality and we will recover," he said.
“The team do it all. I don't believe in luck, I believe in deserving it, and the team are doing things that mean we deserve more. We have to keep persisting and pick outselves up. In the dressing room they are hurting, but we will get back up. In two days we have a final to play. We are all in the same boat. It is not easy to lift ourselves up, but we will," he stressed.
