García: "We have players to take a step up"
The coach previews the season opener against Albacete
Luis García spoke prior to the match against Albacete in a press conference, previewing the season opener and confirming the absences of Javi Puado and Rubén Sánchez through injury.
The RCD Espanyol coach expressed his desire to get the campaign underway by taking the first three points at the Carlos Belmonte, although he stated that Albacete will be no pushovers.
"They are rivals to watch out for this season: A very good team with very clear approaches," warned García.
"There is is still a lot of time left in the transfer market, and I am convinced that we have players to take a step up, because we are going to give everything to achieve our goal."
Finally, he underlined a vital philosophy of living in the present.
“You have to be happy today, with what you have. If you really love this, every match is one less match. You have to have a passion for this, live in the present and to the fullest every day. You have to enjoy the present. You can't have one eye on next year. Let's enjoy today. That's why I want us to be a team tomorrow and get the three points," he concluded.
