García: "Those who remain in the squad are those who want to be here"
The coach talks transfers and Amorebieta in his press conference
In his pre-match press conference before the game against Amorebieta, RCD Espanyol coach Luis García said that he is satisfied with the summer transfer window that saw the team bring in several players.
"It was a very difficult, very complex market to navigate, ever since preseason. we have a balanced squad here, to fight for the goal that we have, and I want to praise the extraordinary work of Fran Garagarza and his department. Those who remain in the squad are those who want to be here.”
“We have brought in Keita Baldé, who was very excited and eager to come and help. That's the mentality we want. Pol Lozano renewed his contract, and that made me very happy because he is committed and keen to stay here. As for Martin Braithwaite, he is with us, which is what he wanted. He is a player who can make a difference, both in the Primera División and Segunda División."
Speaking about this Sunday's opponents, he pointed out that Amorebieta “are a good team who have recently been promoted, but who hav tremendous enthusiasm. They are the team that have scored the most goals so far. They have very clear signs of their identity and we will have to do things very well because no one is going to gift us anything.”
"It is a very important game, and we hope to play well for the fans. We are going to fight every minute and for every ball.”
