García: "It will be a nice, difficult game against Levante"
The coach holds a pre-match press conference before Friday's fixture
RCD Espanyol kick off Matchday 5 of the league season with an away game against Levante UD, and coach Luis García wants the team to carry over the momentum of their recent results.
"We are in the phase in which we still have to better interpret everything that happens on the field of play. However, we are calm because we know how we want to do things. We have clear ideas about how to achieve it and we are fortunate to have these players.”
For García, this match is another step in the race to achieve the team's objective.
“If we win tomorrow, have we already achieved promotion? What if we lose? There is still a long way to go. It will be a nice, difficult game, against a team that have an exceptional coach. Last year, Levante were one minute away from getting promotion. So far, they have scored in every game. We are preparing with the idea that we have to fight every week, regardless of the opposition, because promotion is achieved by the sum of every game.”
The coach insisted that his players are working well, and claimed that "the result against SD Amorebieta reinforces the idea and faith that the team have. It is not easy to win a game when you are 0-2 down . That's why that comeback was a matter of conviction and of believing in ourselves."
